"The Yearling"

My name is Elizabeth and I attend Veritas Classical Schools in South Carolina. My teacher Mrs. Thompson, has assigned me to read "The Yearling". I want to thank you for writing this, because I really enjoyed it! The part that I really enjoyed was that Jody had such a good relationship with Penny, because I also had a wonderful relationship with my father too. I miss him now, since he died, but it reminded me of the relationship, I had once with my dad. The only thing I needed to ask you about the book, was, what did the ending mean?
