I don’t agree with the quote, “Time heals all wounds.” First of all I believe that we need to fix things with others to heal some wounds. For example, if there is a hurt by a very good friend it’s helpful to go to them and express your hurt feelings. Their heart may be hard as a rock, but talking about it might change them. This might take the pain and sadness away in your heart and make things right.
Secondly some wounds may always cause us pain. When a sibling or parent dies the pain may lessen or get better, but it will still remain in your heart forever.
Lastly, it is God who needs to heal some of our wounds. Sometimes difficult people may not want to forgive you so you would have to go to God and ask him to forgive you and give you peace. God has the power to give you his precious peace and patience. For these reasons I don’t believe that time heals all wounds. Let’s remember that in Psalms 147:3 it says, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
