Time Heals All Wounds?

Do you believe that time heals all wounds? I do not. I believe that God has the power and authority to heal any and every wound that there ever was and ever will be.

Firstly, if you were to stumble and skin your knee, does time heal that? Just time? No, of course not! Your blood cells clot, stop the bleeding, turn the open wound into a scab and, after a matter of time the scab peels off and new skin begins to grow. But is that all that it takes to heal a physical wound? No! Who made you? Who decides if that injury is going to heal? God does; not time.

What if someone hurts you? They insult you, and the next day they come back to you and ask forgiveness. Was it just time that made them regret what they did? Just the minutes that had passed? No, it was their conscience. And who made that? Who gave them that conscience? God did. And so I point you again towards God, who can heal every wound.

Lastly, think about the Garden of Eden. When Adam and Eve sinned, did time heal that wound? No! God sent his very own son, Jesus, to die so that wound could be healed and so that we could live forever with him in Heaven. Time cannot heal the wound of death, the wound that scars a person forever. Only Jesus can do that.

I hope that now you see why I don't believe that time can heal all wounds, physical or spiritual. God and only God can heal your spiritual wounds. Doctors do surgery, and help to heal your physical wound, but God decides what is going to happen. So you see, time cannot heal all wounds, but Jesus can.
