J. G. Holland once said, "The heart is wiser than the intellect," which is a very interesting saying. I disagree with him. Your mind knows a lot more than your heart for sure. Also, your heart can be misleading.
First of all, you gain knowledge of things such as math with your mind, not with your heart. Your mind also has more common sense than your heart. Learning things with your heart is possible, but you certainly don't learn as much there as you do in your mind.
Easily being misled, your heart can be drawn to do bad things, though the mind knows that they're wrong. Your mind can also be misled, but when it notices its fault, it can turn around and know not do do that again. Both the mind and the heart can be misled, the mind can think its way out of the situation.
The major reasons the mind is smarter than the heart are because of its knowledge and being able to get itself out of a stick mess. In conclusion, I disagree with J. G. Holland's saying "The heart is wiser than the intellect." -Abby, South Carolina
